What is the BuyBoard?
The BuyBoard is an online purchasing cooperative. The legal mechanism behind the BuyBoard is the Local Government Purchasing Cooperative, administered by the Texas Association of School Boards.
Who can join the BuyBoard?
Membership is restricted to government entities, such as school districts, cities, counties, universities and community colleges, utility districts, education service centers, nonprofit organizations, and charter schools. Membership is free of charge for these groups.
What is the purpose of the BuyBoard?
The BuyBoard has many benefits. It identifies qualified vendors, facilitates compliance with state bidding requirements, and relieves the burden of government purchasing. All of the vendors comply with state bidding requirements, so there is no more writing specs and tabulating bids. And, best of all, you will save money with BuyBoard.
